COLUMBUS, Ga. - Columbus Technical College has scheduled new student orientation and registration for Nov. 12, the end of fall classes for Dec. 2 and the start of spring 2027 classes for Jan. 11, according to the college's official academic calendar. Graduation is tentatively scheduled for Dec. 8, while students registering for spring classes face a Jan. 7 pre-registration payment deadline. The college's published schedule also includes a 39-day student break between Dec. 3 and Jan. 10, along with separate dates for its eCampus programs.

The calendar covers August 2026 through August 2027 and identifies deadlines for registration, classes, examinations, holidays and graduation. According to Columbus Technical College, spring semester web registration began Oct. 26, with an advisement and registration week held Oct. 26-29. The college's website also states that applications are open for Competitive Admissions and Paramedicine programs.

The academic calendar distinguishes between the main Columbus Tech schedule and a separate eCampus schedule. Most of the dates in this report come from the calendar's Columbus Tech column, while differences for eCampus are identified separately. The published calendar carries a revision date of 12.11.2025.

November 12 Orientation Follows Spring Registration Opening

Columbus Technical College has scheduled New Student Orientation and Registration for Thursday, Nov. 12. The date appears in the college's Academic Calendar Year 2027, which provides separate scheduling information for the main campus and eCampus. The Nov. 12 entry is listed in the Columbus Tech column.

Spring semester web registration began Monday, Oct. 26, according to the college's calendar. The same schedule identifies Oct. 26-29 as advisement and registration week. Those dates come before the November orientation and registration event.

The college's published schedule places the Nov. 12 orientation before fall semester classes end. The final examination dates for the Columbus Tech schedule are Dec. 1 and Dec. 2. The last day of classes is also listed as Dec. 2.

Columbus Technical College's website provides information about applying to the institution. The home page states that applications are currently open for Competitive Admissions and Paramedicine programs. An online application link is available through the college's official website at columbustech.edu.

November Holidays and December Exam Dates

The college's calendar identifies Nov. 23 and Nov. 24 as student holidays when no classes are scheduled. It also lists Nov. 25 through Nov. 28 as state holidays when the college will be closed. These dates appear in the Columbus Tech section of the published academic schedule.

The holiday dates are followed by the final examination period in early December. According to Columbus Technical College, exam days are scheduled for Dec. 1 and Dec. 2. Classes on the main Columbus Tech schedule end Dec. 2.

The eCampus calendar has a different fall semester ending date. According to the college, eCampus classes end Dec. 6 rather than Dec. 2. The distinction appears in the separate calendar columns for the two instructional schedules.

The college's academic calendar therefore identifies different ending dates for the main Columbus Tech schedule and eCampus. The Dec. 2 date applies to the Columbus Tech column, while Dec. 6 applies to eCampus. Both dates are part of the institution's published Academic Calendar Year 2027.

Graduation Tentatively Scheduled for December 8

Columbus Technical College lists graduation for Tuesday, Dec. 8, in its academic calendar. The entry includes the designation "Date is tentative." The college therefore identifies Dec. 8 as the planned graduation date rather than a confirmed final date.

The tentative graduation date follows the end of classes on both academic schedules. Columbus Tech classes end Dec. 2, and eCampus classes end Dec. 6, according to the calendar. Graduation is then listed for Dec. 8.

The calendar also identifies a student holiday period beginning shortly after the main campus classes end. For Columbus Tech, that period starts Dec. 3 and continues through Jan. 10. The eCampus student holiday period begins Dec. 7 and also ends Jan. 10.

The Dec. 8 graduation entry appears within that broader period between academic terms. Columbus Technical College's calendar labels the date as tentative. The calendar provides that designation alongside the other December scheduling information.

Students Have a 39-Day Break Before Spring Classes

The main Columbus Tech calendar lists a student holiday period from Dec. 3 through Jan. 10. Counting both the beginning and ending dates, that period spans 39 calendar days. The calculation includes 29 days from Dec. 3 through Dec. 31 and another 10 days from Jan. 1 through Jan. 10.

The eCampus schedule lists a different starting date for its student holiday period. According to the college, eCampus students have a scheduled break from Dec. 7 through Jan. 10. Both schedules identify Jan. 10 as the final day of the break before spring classes begin.

The college also lists institutional closures during the student holiday period. Its calendar identifies Dec. 21-25 and Jan. 1-4 as dates when the college will be closed. These closures are listed separately from the longer student holiday periods.

The 39-day calculation applies specifically to the Columbus Tech student holiday dates of Dec. 3 through Jan. 10. It does not describe the eCampus break, which begins later. The college's separate calendar columns provide the dates for each schedule.

January 7 Payment Deadline and January 11 Classes

Students registered for the spring 2027 semester have a pre-registration payment deadline of Thursday, Jan. 7, according to Columbus Technical College. Spring classes begin Monday, Jan. 11, for both the Columbus Tech and eCampus schedules. The dates appear in the spring semester section of the college's academic calendar.

The college also identifies Jan. 18 as a state holiday when the institution will be closed. That closure comes after the scheduled Jan. 11 start of spring classes. The calendar lists it separately from the spring semester registration and payment deadlines.

A second spring payment deadline is scheduled for Jan. 28. The college describes that date as the payment deadline for late registration and drop/add. It follows the Jan. 7 pre-registration payment deadline and the Jan. 11 first day of classes.

The spring semester schedule therefore includes two separate payment deadlines. Jan. 7 applies to pre-registration, while Jan. 28 applies to late registration and drop/add. Both dates are identified in the college's published academic calendar.

Spring Break, Final Exams and Summer 2027

Columbus Technical College's spring break is scheduled for April 5-11, 2027, according to the academic calendar. The eCampus spring break is listed for March 29 through April 4. The two schedules therefore have different spring break periods.

Spring semester examinations for the Columbus Tech schedule are listed for April 29 and May 3. Classes end May 3 on the main Columbus Tech schedule, while eCampus classes end May 9. The college also lists New Student Orientation for May 4.

The summer 2027 term begins May 17 for the Columbus Tech schedule. According to the college, eCampus summer classes begin May 24. The dates appear in the summer portion of the same academic calendar that covers fall 2026 and spring 2027.

The published schedule extends beyond the Jan. 11 spring starting date to include the end of spring classes and the beginning of summer instruction. It distinguishes between Columbus Tech and eCampus where their dates differ. Students can find both schedules in the official academic calendar.

HOPE Scholarship Figures and Application Information

The Georgia Student Finance Commission's fiscal 2027 HOPE award chart lists $107 per semester hour for the Technical College System of Georgia. The published award equals $1,605 for 15 semester hours. The same chart lists tuition of $1,605 for that category, producing 100% tuition coverage.

The calculation is $107 multiplied by 15 semester hours, which equals $1,605. According to the state commission, the HOPE amount and listed tuition are equal in the Technical College System category. The fiscal 2027 chart also reports no change in the award from the previous fiscal year.

Columbus Technical College states on its website that applications are open for Competitive Admissions and Paramedicine programs. The college provides an online application link through https://www.columbustech.edu/. Its published calendar also identifies Nov. 12 as New Student Orientation and Registration and Jan. 11 as the beginning of spring semester classes.
