Columbus, Ga. — Thai Orchid99 leads a ranking of 18 Columbus Asian restaurants with a 4.8-star Google rating from 694 reviews, followed by Just Thai100 with 4.7 stars from 259 reviews. Both also hold A grades on their latest Georgia health inspections, scoring 99 and 100.

The ranking includes Thai, Japanese, sushi, Vietnamese, Chinese and other Asian restaurants with at least 100 Google reviews. It combines customer ratings collected Oct. 10-17, 2026, with inspection records from the Georgia Department of Public Health.

The results show that strong customer ratings don't always line up with high inspection scores. Some restaurants with thousands of reviews have middling stars, while a few highly rated spots have received B or C grades.

Ranked by Google star rating, with review counts breaking ties. The inspection column shows each location's latest score, not its average.

Thai restaurants lead the rankings

Thai restaurants hold four of the top five spots. Thai Orchid, Just Thai, Thai and Thai, and Thai House all have at least 4.5 stars.

Thai Orchid leads with 4.8 stars from 694 reviews. Its inspection scores since 2024 were 96, 97, 93 and 99.

Just Thai has one of the strongest inspection records in the ranking: a 99, followed by five straight 100s.

Thai and Thai has 4.5 stars and a latest score of 99. Thai House also has 4.5 stars, with a latest score of 100.

Chili Thai Uptown and Lemongrass Thai & Sushi both scored 100 on their latest inspections, with Google ratings of 4.3 and 4.2.

The most-reviewed restaurants

Hibachi Grill & Supreme Buffet has the most Google reviews on the list, 2,768, with a 4.1-star rating. Its latest inspection was a 90 on Oct. 8, 2026, and its scores since 2024 were 80, 83, 86, 87, 81 and 90.

Fuji Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar is next with 2,017 reviews and 4.3 stars. Samurai Japanese Cuisine & Sushi Bar on Broadway has 1,567 reviews, and Lemongrass Thai & Sushi has 1,434. Both have 4.2 stars.

Fuji's inspection scores since 2024 were 80, 90, 96, 96 and 92, so its early 80 (a B) has been followed by four A's. Samurai's were 100, 100, 92, 89 and 95, with one B in the middle.

A restaurant with thousands of reviews has a much bigger sample of customer opinion than one with just over 100, though both qualify for this list.

Five perfect inspection scores

Five restaurants have a latest inspection score of 100: Just Thai, Thai House, Chili Thai Uptown, Lemongrass Thai & Sushi and Haru Sushi.

Haru Sushi's scores since 2024 were 90, 97, 97, 100 and 100. Lemongrass Thai & Sushi scored a 94, then four straight 100s. Chili Thai Uptown's six scores were 100, 100, 96, 98, 100 and 100.

For comparison, Columbus restaurants overall averaged 96.8 across 2,367 inspections since Jan. 1, 2025.

High ratings don't always mean A grades

Pho Sai Gon shows the gap between customer ratings and inspection results. It ranks third with 4.6 stars from 190 reviews, but its latest inspection was an 80 on Sept. 30, 2026, a B.

Its scores since 2024 were 91, 76, 80, 92, 90, 72 and 80. The 76 and 72 were C grades.

Happy China also holds a B, after an 82 on June 15, 2026. Its scores since 2024 were 95, 87, 94, 85 and 82.

Georgia gives an A for scores of 90 to 100, a B for 80 to 89, a C for 70 to 79 and a U for 69 or lower.

The Columbus Times compared Google Maps ratings and review counts collected Oct. 10-17, 2026, with Georgia Department of Public Health inspection records for Muscogee County, from ga.healthinspections.us through our restaurant score database. The list includes restaurants with at least 100 Google reviews whose permit names include words such as Thai, sushi, pho, China, wok, hibachi or Asian, ranked by Google rating with review count breaking ties.
