Zeb's Seafood & Chicken is the only restaurant here with a B on its latest inspection. It scored 87 on June 2, 2026. The other 11 latest scores fall within Georgia's A range of 90 to 100.

Georgia's grading ranges are A for 90-100, B for 80-89, C for 70-79 and U for 69 or lower. No restaurant in this group has a latest C or U.

What earlier inspections show

A latest inspection gives one point in time. The records also include score histories going back to 2024, allowing readers to see whether the latest result stands alone or is part of a longer run.

Columbus Crab House stands out for consistency in these records: All six of its listed inspections since 2024 scored 100. Rosehill's two listed scores are 99 and 100, while the Buena Vista Road Shark's has four scores of 100 across five listed inspections.

Why the similar restaurant names are separate

Five listings use Shark's or Sharks Fish & Chicken in their permit names: Victory Drive, Veterans Parkway, Wynnton Road, Milgen Road and Buena Vista Road. They are treated as five individual restaurants because their addresses, Google review totals and inspection histories differ.

Sharky's Fish & Chicken on Manchester Expressway is listed separately under that permitted name. The names alone do not establish any common ownership, and this ranking makes no claim about who owns or operates the locations.

How to read the numbers

Does a higher Google rating mean a higher inspection score? Not necessarily. The ranking is based on Google stars, with review totals used only to break ties. Columbus Crab House has 4.0 stars and a latest inspection score of 100; Zeb's has 4.3 stars and a latest score of 87.

How does the group compare with Columbus restaurants overall? Across 2,367 inspections since Jan. 1, 2025, Columbus restaurants averaged 96.8. That citywide figure covers restaurant inspections generally, not just the 12 seafood and fish places in this ranking.

Can ratings and scores change? Yes. Google ratings and review totals were collected Oct. 10-17, 2026, and can change daily. The latest inspection dates also vary by restaurant, from February through October 2026 in this list.

How we did this

The Columbus Times selected Columbus establishments with at least 50 Google reviews whose permit names include seafood, fish, crab, shrimp, catfish or boil. Google Maps star ratings and review counts were collected Oct. 10-17, 2026, and ranked by stars, then review count.

Latest inspection grades, dates and histories come from Georgia Department of Public Health records for Muscogee County at ga.healthinspections.us, accessed through The Columbus Times restaurant score database at columbustimes.com/restaurants. The rankings do not combine customer ratings with health scores or imply that one measures the other.
