Columbus, Ga. — Eleven Columbus restaurants scored a perfect 100 on their latest health inspection and also hold a Google rating of at least 4.7 stars from 250 or more reviews. La Garita Restaurant & Bakery100 leads the list at 4.9 stars, followed by Frank's Alley, World Famous Hotdogs100 and Darby's Patrol Base at 4.8.

Three of them — Frank's Alley, Darby's Patrol Base and Epic Restaurant100 — have scored 100 on every inspection since 2024.

The list combines Georgia Department of Public Health inspection records with Google Maps ratings collected Oct. 10-17, 2026. To qualify, a restaurant's most recent routine inspection had to be a 100, dated July 1, 2025, or later.

Perfect every time: Frank's Alley, Darby's Patrol Base and Epic

Frank's Alley, 1246 Broadway, has four inspections since 2024, and all four were 100s. Its latest came Sept. 29, 2026.

Darby's Patrol Base, 4018 Victory Drive, matches that record: four inspections, four perfect scores, most recently June 18, 2026.

Epic Restaurant, 1201 Front Ave., has the longest streak on the list, with five straight 100s since 2024.

The top-rated: La Garita

La Garita Restaurant & Bakery, 1230 Fort Benning Road, has the highest Google rating on the list at 4.9 stars from 307 reviews. Its five inspections since 2024 scored 100, 99, 100, 100 and 100.

World Famous Hotdogs, 2616 Hamilton Road, is tied for second at 4.8 stars. Its scores since 2024: 100, 96, 100, 100 and 100.

The crowd favorites

Mabella, 14 11th St., has by far the most Google reviews of the 11, with 1,827, and holds 4.7 stars. Its inspections since 2024 scored 97, 100, 100 and 100.

Dave's Hot Chicken, 5279 Whittlesey Blvd., is next with 1,424 reviews. It has scored 100 on four of five inspections since 2024; the other was a 99.

The Animal Farm, 105 12th St., has 1,062 reviews. Its six inspections since 2024 include a 91 and a 96, but its two most recent were both 100s.

Coffee, doughnuts and Thai

Midtown Coffee100 House, 1342 13th St., has 724 reviews and scores of 100, 99, 100 and 100 since 2024.

Parlor Doughnuts, 211 13th St., has 412 reviews and scores of 100, 97 and 100.

Just Thai, 5156 River Road, has the most recent perfect score on the list, from Oct. 15, 2026. It has scored 100 on five straight inspections after a 99.

How these compare

Columbus restaurants averaged 96.8 across 2,367 inspections since Jan. 1, 2025. In Georgia, a score of 90 to 100 earns an A, so a 100 is the best possible result.

Keep in mind that inspections and online reviews measure different things. An inspection is a snapshot of food safety on one visit. A Google rating reflects what customers think and changes as new reviews come in.

The Columbus Times compared Georgia Department of Public Health food service inspection records for Muscogee County, from our restaurant score database, with Google Maps ratings and review counts collected Oct. 10-17, 2026.

To qualify, a restaurant needed a perfect 100 on its most recent routine inspection, dated July 1, 2025, or later, plus a Google rating of at least 4.7 stars with at least 250 reviews. Eleven met all three requirements.
