The Nov. 4 performance of "Curious George and the Golden Meatball" was scheduled for 10:30 a.m. at the RiverCenter. The musical is intended for young audiences, according to the venue's event listing. The remaining performances extend through Nov. 23, when the RiverCenter is scheduled to present "The Rock Orchestra by Candlelight."
The Springer has four scheduled performances of "Ready, Set, Rocket" across two weekends. The RiverCenter's other November listings place comedy, musical theater and concerts on separate dates. All RiverCenter productions in the calendar are scheduled for Bill Heard Theatre.
Whose Live Anyway? Brings Improv Comedy Nov. 11
"Whose Live Anyway?" is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 7:30 p.m. at the RiverCenter's Bill Heard Theatre. The performance features cast members from the television show associated with the live production, according to the RiverCenter's event description. The venue lists a running time of 90 minutes.
The show's format includes audience suggestions as part of the improv comedy performance. That element appears in the RiverCenter's official description of the event. The Nov. 11 date places the production between the opening weekend of the Springer's children's show and the Nov. 14 musical at the RiverCenter.
The event is one of several performances scheduled at Bill Heard Theatre during November. The RiverCenter lists its location as 900 Broadway in Columbus. Its box office telephone number is 706-256-3612.
Mystic Pizza Musical Arrives Nov. 14
"Mystic Pizza" is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 14, at 7:30 p.m. at the RiverCenter. The production is a new musical adaptation of the film of the same name, according to the venue's event calendar. Its story follows three young women working at a pizza shop.
The musical is among the RiverCenter's November theatrical offerings and follows "Whose Live Anyway?" on the performance calendar. Both productions are scheduled at Bill Heard Theatre, although they are different types of stage entertainment. The improv performance is listed for Nov. 11, while "Mystic Pizza" is scheduled three days later.
The RiverCenter identifies the production as a musical adaptation rather than a screening of the original film. The three young women and the pizza shop are central elements of the story described in its event information. The performance is scheduled for the same Saturday that the Springer Opera House will present one of its "Ready, Set, Rocket" shows.
That creates two scheduled stage performances in Columbus on Nov. 14. The Springer lists its children's production for 11 a.m., while the RiverCenter lists "Mystic Pizza" for 7:30 p.m. Both times come from the respective venues' published calendars.
Columbus Symphony Orchestra Performs Nov. 21
The RiverCenter's Nov. 21 calendar includes "CSO: Wagner & Strauss," a Columbus Symphony Orchestra program. The performance is scheduled for Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in Bill Heard Theatre, according to the RiverCenter. The event is listed under that title in the venue's November schedule.
The orchestra performance comes one week after the RiverCenter's presentation of "Mystic Pizza." It also precedes "The Rock Orchestra by Candlelight," scheduled for Nov. 23. The two programs place different orchestral performances on the RiverCenter's calendar within the same week.
The "Wagner & Strauss" program is among the six principal productions listed across the RiverCenter and Springer calendars for this guide. Its scheduled date is Saturday, Nov. 21. The RiverCenter provides event information through its website and box office.
The Rock Orchestra by Candlelight Plays Nov. 23
"The Rock Orchestra by Candlelight" is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 23, at 7:30 p.m. at the RiverCenter. The production features a 14-piece ensemble performing rock and metal hits, according to the venue's official listing. The RiverCenter identifies the performance as a 90-minute show.
The concert differs from the Nov. 21 Columbus Symphony Orchestra program in its listed musical focus. While the earlier event is titled "Wagner & Strauss," the Nov. 23 production features arrangements of rock and metal music. Both performances are scheduled for Bill Heard Theatre.
The Nov. 23 date makes "The Rock Orchestra by Candlelight" the latest performance among the six main productions in the November guide. The RiverCenter lists the ensemble size and running time in its event description. Its official calendar also confirms the Monday evening performance time.
Ready, Set, Rocket Has Four Springer Performances
The Springer Opera House will present "Ready, Set, Rocket" on Nov. 7, 8, 14 and 15 as part of its Theatre for the Very Young Series. The production is intended for children ages 0 through 8 and their grown-ups, according to the Springer's official description. The series is presented by Zelmo's Zip In.
The show follows Cosmo, a hurried young rocketeer who learns that rushing is not always the fastest way to accomplish something. That story description appears in the Springer's published production information. The theater has scheduled four performances across two weekends.
The showtimes are:
- Saturday, Nov. 7, at 11 a.m.
- Sunday, Nov. 8, at 2 p.m.
- Saturday, Nov. 14, at 11 a.m.
- Sunday, Nov. 15, at 2 p.m.
The Springer Opera House is located at 103 10th Street in Columbus. The theater's box office is open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., according to its website. Tickets are available through the Springer website or by calling 706-327-3688.
The four performances provide two Saturday morning dates and two Sunday afternoon dates. The Springer's calendar lists the same production on both weekends. The Nov. 15 performance is the final listed date for "Ready, Set, Rocket."
Additional Springer Events and How to Get Tickets
The Springer Opera House also lists "Movies Under the Stars: The Goofy Movie" for Saturday, Nov. 14. Another scheduled event is a PATIO concert featuring Lloyd Buchanan & the Family Affair on Nov. 21. Both appear on the theater's official November calendar.
The two venues maintain separate ticketing and event information systems. The RiverCenter publishes its events at rivercenter.org/events and lists 706-256-3612 as its box office telephone number. The Springer provides production information at springeroperahouse.org and lists 706-327-3688 for ticket inquiries.
The Springer's published box office hours are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Its website includes ticket access for "Ready, Set, Rocket" and information about the production's four scheduled performances. The RiverCenter's events page separately lists the dates and times for its Bill Heard Theatre performances.
More Productions on the Springer's 2026-27 Calendar
Beyond November, the Springer Opera House has announced several productions for the remainder of its 2026-27 season. "The Mountaintop" is scheduled for Jan. 22-31, followed by "Pretty Woman" from March 12-21. The dates are published on the theater's official season calendar.
Two additional productions are scheduled for later in the season. "Shakespeare in Love" is listed for April 23 through May 2, while "Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill" is scheduled for May 13-15. The Springer includes these productions in its published 2026-27 lineup.
The later dates extend the theater's announced programming beyond the November performances of "Ready, Set, Rocket." The November calendar also includes the Nov. 14 film screening and the Nov. 21 PATIO concert. The complete production schedule is available through the Springer Opera House's official website.
