10 Things to Do in Columbus This Weekend: Oct. 9–11

Fall is here, and there's plenty happening around Columbus this weekend, from big-name concerts and comedy to free family outings. Here are 10 ways to spend Oct. 9–11.

1. Kick off the weekend with MercyMe (Thursday) Christian music favorites MercyMe, known for "I Can Only Imagine," bring their tour to the Columbus Civic Center on Thursday, Oct. 8, at 7 p.m.

2. Laugh with Ali Siddiq at the RiverCenter (Saturday) Comedian Ali Siddiq, called stand-up comedy's "most prolific storyteller" by Vulture, performs at the RiverCenter's Bill Heard Theatre, 900 Broadway, on Saturday, Oct. 10, at 8 p.m.

3. Denim & Diamonds at the Civic Center (Saturday) Denim & Diamonds 2026 takes over the Columbus Civic Center on Saturday, Oct. 10, at 8 p.m. Check the Civic Center's website for tickets and details.

4. Zach Bryan in Auburn (Saturday) About 40 minutes up the road, country star Zach Bryan closes his "With Heaven on Tour" at Jordan-Hare Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 10, with Gregory Alan Isakov and Gabriella Rose. Doors open at 5 p.m., and the show starts at 7. Expect heavy traffic, so leave early.

5. Walk Uptown's Scarecrow Trail (all weekend) Uptown Columbus is decorated for fall with its annual Scarecrow Trail, on display all through October. Grab dinner or coffee on Broadway and see how many you can find.

6. Live music on Broadway (Friday) Uptown Columbus's free Friday Night Concert Series continues this fall with live outdoor music for all ages. Bring a chair and check alwaysuptown.com for this Friday's band and location.

7. Explore space at the Coca-Cola Space Science Center (Saturday) Catch a planetarium show, including "Black Holes," "Super Volcanoes" and "Dinosaurs: A Survival Story," at 701 Front Ave. The center is open Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

8. Visit the National Infantry Museum (free) One of the best military museums in the country is right here, and admission is free. It has a suggested $5 donation, with extra charges for the theater and simulators. 1775 Legacy Way.

9. See the newly renovated Columbus Museum (free) The Columbus Museum, 1251 Wynnton Road, reopened after a major renovation with new galleries and family spaces. Admission is free. It's open Saturday 10 a.m.–5 p.m. and Sunday 1–5 p.m.

10. Take a fall stroll on the RiverWalk Cooler weather makes this the perfect time to walk or bike the Chattahoochee RiverWalk. It's free, scenic, and a great way to end the weekend.
