For Nicole and Gabe Banks, the new Donatos Pizza location in McDonough isn't just a restaurant opening — it's a family investment years in the making.

Nicole Banks, a Howard University graduate and Atlanta native with a background in finance, partnered with her father, Atlanta attorney Gabe Banks, to open the shop at 1816 Jonesboro Road, just off Exit 221 in Henry County. It's the third Donatos Pizza location in metro Atlanta.

The idea traces back to the family's own long history with the brand. According to the pair, the concept didn't become a real business until Nicole put together a formal business plan — the moment her father says he knew she was serious enough to become his partner, not just his daughter with an idea.

The McDonough location serves Donatos' signature thin-crust pizzas, known for "Edge to Edge" toppings that reach every bite instead of stopping short of the crust.

Beyond the counter, the Bankses say they want the shop to have a footprint in the community. They've talked about creating local jobs and partnering with McDonough schools and organizations — part of a broader goal that goes beyond the bottom line.

"It's a father-daughter legacy building bonds and generational wealth, one pizza at a time," the family said of the venture.
