Dear Community Partners, Sponsors, and Supporters, September is National Sickle Cell Disease Awareness Month, and you can help us break the cycle.

The Association for Sickle Cell, Lower Chattahoochee Region (ASCLCR) invites you to sponsor our Annual Sickle Cell Walk-A-Thon on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Fourth Street Missionary Baptist Church, Columbus, GA. Sickle Cell Disease affects 1 in every 2,500 births in the United States. More than any other condition detected by newborn screening.

Your donation directly funds patient assistance, education, and support programs for sickle cell warriors and families right here in our community.

Team Concept

Teams should register online, and their captain will set a financial goal for their team to meet. Teams are welcome to have as many members as they’d like. Members, when paying their portion, should submit the name of the team they’re assigned to, or if the captain is submitting the payment, then they should record each person's name and their donation amount in the payment notes. Donation amount begins at a minimum of $30.00 per member.

No person is obligated to join a team and is welcome to register online. Individual walkers will make a payment of $30.00 [for adults] or $15.00 for youth, ages 6 -17. All donations and other support are welcome!
