The 2024 Auburn University Dance Marathon (AUDM) raised a total of $356,036.24 for the Bill and Olivia Amos Children's Hospital at Piedmont Columbus Regional, the area's only Children's Miracle Network hospital! AUDM has raised over $4 million since they began hosting the dance marathon 13 years ago.
The students held events throughout the school year to raise funds and awareness, culminating in the main event. Current students as well as alumni danced and enjoyed a fun time while raising money for a good cause. “It’s so impactful to see college kids come together to fundraise and do something for other people – being a part of something bigger than just being a student,” said Ashton Hill, AUDM 2023-2024 President.
The event was held at Auburn University's Student Activities Center and included remarks from Piedmont Hospital and Foundation staff, miracle family testimonials, Irish dancing, a silent disco, and more. “AUDM is such a special program because these college students work tirelessly throughout the year to help us make a positive difference in every life we touch," said Jessie Brown, Children's Miracle Network Officer with the Piedmont Columbus Regional Foundation.
The funds raised at this year’s event will be used to help Piedmont Columbus Regional continue to transform healthcare for the children of the Chattahoochee Valley – ensuring they can receive care close to home with family and loved ones by their side.
