COLUMBUS, GA, November 22, 2024: For FOXIE 105, K92.7, 1340 AM WOKS, and
PRAISE 100.7., Davis Broadcasting Inc. of Columbus (DBI), Radiothon marks the
beginning of the holiday season. Since its founding 38 years ago, the company has
hosted this 24-hour radio fundraiser to collect generous donations from listeners that are
then used to purchase Christmas gifts for area children. This year, Radiothon will be held
on November 22-23, 2024. “We cannot understate the importance of this event each year
not for Davis Broadcasting, but for the community,” explains Geniece Granville, Vice
President and General Manager for DBI. “It is a way that we can all work together to play a
part in spreading the joy of the season to families in the tri-cities area. That’s what the
holidays are really about.”
Radiothon is certainly a community centered event. Businesses and civic
organizations alike come together to participate - with teams from across the region
signing up to answer the phones for this pledge style drive. Plus, the public is invited to get

Through this effort, DBI raises enough funds to provide over 1000 toys and bikes that
are distributed at the Company’s Children’s Christmas Winter Wonderland Toy Giveaway
held in December. "We stop the music temporarily because we care about our listeners
